Marijane 'Pat' P. Heapy

McALLEN, Texas - Marijane "Pat" Patricia Heapy, 88, died Friday, July 10, 2009, at McAllen Medical Center, McAllen, Texas.

She was born July 30, 1920, in Minneapolis to Joseph and Mary Jane (Lambert) Quigley. She was the granddaughter of Emily, Minn., founder John Lambert.

She graduated from Minneapolis South High and spent a lifetime as a homemaker and working woman, retiring from Brainerd State Hospital.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, John L. Heapy; son, Dennis and (Marion) Heapy, Brainerd; daughter, Kathy and (Jim) Stahl, McAllen, Texas; grandchildren, Wade Heapy, Detroit Lakes, Minn., Jodi and (Scott) Warburton, Baxter, Minn.; great-grandson, Justin Warburton; sister, Helen Jo Potter and family, Eden Prairie, Minn.; and daughter-in-law, Jan Heapy, Brainerd, Minn.

Marijane was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Helen Quigley; two sons, Larry and Tom Heapy; and brother, Robert Quigley.

There will be a private gravesite service at Camp Ripley Veterans Cemetery.
