Pine River man arrested for growing pot

PINE RIVER - A 24-year-old Pine River man was arrested just after 3 p.m. Thursday after a search warrant was executed at the man's residence and marijuana plants were seized.

The plants were being grown indoors.

The Cass County Sheriff's office, Pine River Police Department and Minnesota Department of Corrections were involved in the search. The man is being criminally charged with one felony county of fifth-degree controlled substance crime, the Cass County Sheriff's office reported. Bail was set at $10,000.
