Brown a double winner at Legacy

LEAGUE RESULTS

Heidi Brown captured the low putts and closest to the pin awards on the Legacy Par 3 Course July 3 during women's league play at the Legacy Courses at Cragun's.

Low score on the short course went to Kelly Gorvin with a 32. Cinde Baron had the longest putt.

Robin Warden's 39 on the front nine of the Dutch Course was the low round in the championship league and Cheryl Wallin's 17 was the low number of putts.

Nikki Shoutz was closest to the pin and Ashley Rothstein had the longest putt.

Legacy men's league

Mike Sands shot a 34 to win the men's league member mixer July 5 at the Legacy Courses at Cragun's in East Gull Lake.

Finishing second was Bob Thorkelson, who also shot 34 as did third-place Dan Travica.

In fourth with a 35 was Chuck Halverson followed by Todd Ringler's fifth-place 35.

Rick Harms nailed the longest drive and Nate Rilley was closest to the pin.

Thursday the men's league returns to it's normal schedule on Bobby's Course.

Breezy Point women

Patty Carlyle shot 27 to win the low net event during the July 5 Breezy Point Resort women's league.

Finishing second with a 29 was Sylvia Schmitt followed by Sue Bevans' 30 and Barb Owens' 32 and Bobbie Griffiths' 33. Bonnie Person placed sixth with a 34.

Thursday's league event will be a dice game.

The Breezy Point Women's Invitational is set for July 19. All women are welcome to enter.

Breezy Point men

The second half of the Breezy Point Resort Twilight men's golf league kicks off Thursday on the back nine of the Whitebirch Golf Course.

Thursday's pairings:

Thomas & Assoc. vs. Birchwood

Cedar Creek Lumber vs. Mills Motor

Pestello's Bar vs. Lions

Madden's women

The next Madden's women's league is July 17 on the Pine Beach East Course.

The league will move July 24 to the Pine Beach West Course.

Both have a 6 p.m. shotgun start.
