Mission Fire Fair

The 17th annual Mission Fire Fair will be Saturday at Mission Park, located seven miles north of Merrifield on County Road 3, one mile east on Mission Park Drive. Food and beverages will begin at 11:30 a.m. There will be fire department and safety demos, Safe House for Kids, North Air Care helicopter, raffle prizes all afternoon and a chicken poopin' contest.

Aitkin County Historical Society garage sale

The Aitkin County Historical Society garage sale will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 16 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 17 at the Depot Museum, one block south of the stoplights in Aitkin. Matching funds are being applied for to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Central Lakes Chapter 31300. Funds received will benefit the Aitkin County Historical Society.
