Judicial, legislative candidates file for offices on Tuesday

Four area candidates filed for office Tuesday.
Carolyn McElfatrick of rural Grand Rapids filed for the Minnesota House District 3B seat currently held by Rep. Loren Solberg, DFL-Grand Rapids. McElfatrick is the Republican-endorsed candidate in the race.
Filing for the Minnesota House District 11B seat were Rep. Mary Ellen Otremba, DFL-Long Prairie, and Dave Kircher of Burtrum, the Republican-endorsed candidate. Kircher is a former Todd County sheriff who serves on the Todd County Board. Otremba is seeking re-election to the seat she initially won in a special election in 1997.
Judge Jeffrey Remick of Crookston filed for re-election to Court 18 in the Ninth Judicial District.
