Judge Ten Eyck among those filing

Fourth of July parades may be over but the parade of candidates for judicial, legislative and county posts continued late Thursday and Monday.

Judge Dave Ten Eyck of Nisswa who is based in the Crow Wing County Courthouse, filed for a second six-year term as a Ninth Judicial District judge in Court 21. Ten Eyck was appointed to the bench by Gov. Jesse Ventura in October of 1999. He was elected to a six-year term in 2002.

Judge Donald J. Aandal of Thief River Falls filed for re-election to his post in Court 8.

Little Falls City Council President Mike LeMieur, who is the Republican-endorsed candidate for the Minnesota House District 12B seat, filed Thursday. The seat is currently held by Rep. Al Doty, DFL-Royalton.

The Republican-endorsed candidate for House District 12A, David Allan Pundt of Baxter, filed Monday. He's running for seat currently held by Rep. John Ward.

Three incumbent supervisors on the Cass County Soil and Water Conservation District filed Thursday. They were Willard R. Pehling of Walker, District 5; James E. Ballenthin of Backus, District 3; and Dave Harder of Longville, District 4.

Rep. Loren A. Solberg, DFL-Grand Rapids, filed for re-election. He was first elected to the Minnesota House in 1982.
