The Brainerd Bees blanked Sartell 7-0 Sunday as they won two of three games in three days.
Eric Bolt picked up the win against Sartell by giving up only two hits over seven innings while striking out eight and walking four. Nate Thomas was 2-for-3 and Josh Smith added a 2-run single to help lead the Bees at the plate in the Lakewood League game.
On Saturday, Smith once again powered the Bees as he went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI as Brainerd dumped Watkins 7-4 in an exhibition game. Ben Jukich pitched a complete game, giving up four runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts and four walks. Joel Lofstrom also added two hits and an RBI for the Bees.
The only stumbling block the Bees ran into was a 14-2 loss to Hastings Friday night in 10 innings in another exhibition game. Lofstrom was 2-for-3 at the plate and Mike Shogren took the loss.
Brainerd's overall record is 12-11. The Bees are 7-5 in Lakewood League play.
