There will be a senior dance at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brainerd Legion with music by Frank Gust.

PEQUOT LAKES --There will be a senior dance at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Pequot Lakes Senior Center with music by Joe and Merle.

Retired firemen, wives and widows will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Chaparral for breakfast.

Class of 1947

There will be a celebration of the 53rd anniversary of the Class of 1947 at noon Saturday in the Green Mill's meeting room. Invite spouses or guests and notify Janet McNair Nelson at 829-6270.

Encore Arts

Encore Arts will present a smaller version of Art in the Garden from 1-5 p.m. today at 1203 Lakeview Lane because it rained on the original date. Besides the tour of the garden, there will be music and a display of artwork.

N.A.R.V.E. meeting

The National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brainerd Public Library. Lunch will follow the meeting.

'Christmas in July'

The Brainerd Christian Women's Club will sponsor a lunch and program called "Christmas in July" from noon-2:30 p.m. Thursday at Grand View Lodge. Cost: $10. "Gifts that Glisten," "Morning Star" and "Framed in Love-Stages of Life" will all be presented. Hughes family reunion

Descendants of George Hughes are invited to the Hughes family reunion at Myron and Shirley Packers (Jack Hughes farm) on July 15-16. There will be camping all weekend. Bring lawn chairs, silverware, picture boards, musical instruments. Potluck will be at 5 p.m. Saturday. There will be a continental breakfast and potluck at 1 p.m. July 16 with a bonfire in the evening. Volleyball and horseshoes will be provided. Emily Days is celebrating its 100th birthday with a parade at 1 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m. Also, it is Aitkin's Riverboat Days.

Aitkin Riverboat Reelers

The Aitkin Riverboat Reelers will square dance mainstream from 2-4:30 p.m. July 16 at the Aitkin VFW. There will be a plus from 1:30-2 p.m. Abe Maier will be the caller.

Brainerd Shriners

Brainerd Shriners meeting will be at noon Monday with soup and sandwich in the Shriners' club room. Board of directors meeting will be 10 a.m.

Nisswa Caboose Society meeting change

The Nisswa Caboose Society's previously scheduled meeting for Wednesday has been changed to July 18. The meeting will be 1:30 p.m. at the Nisswa Community Center.
