A frontal system hovering over the Northern Plains and parts of the Midwest was expected to bring more thunderstorms to the regions Saturday, while the rest of the country remained mostly dry.
The storms could be severe, bringing wind gusts of more than 50 mph and hail to Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota. A second day of showers also was forecast for parts of New England, as well as a chance for Wyoming and the Four Corners region.
