Daniel Borash, Little Falls, and Krystal Gabrielson, Backus, were selected for a departmental award for outstanding academic accomplishment and service at Bemidji State University for the 2007-2008 school year. Borash is a senior majoring in environmental studies and received an Outstanding Senior Award from the Department of Environmental, Earth and Space Studies. Gabrielson is a freshman majoring in environmental studies, and received an Academic Achievement Award from the Department of Environmental, Earth and Space Studies.

Laura (Hensel) Radniecki, daughter of John and Kathy Hensel, Brainerd, graduated summa cum laude from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth with a bachelor of arts in nursing.
David Meyer, son of Kim and Julie Meyer, Brainerd, has graduated with honors from Duluth Business University. He received an associate in applied science degree in business administration
Joseph Trucano, son of Charles and Dagny Trucano, Brainerd, has been named to the spring semester dean's list at Concordia College, Moorhead.
Maria Swanson, daughter of Helen and Tom Swanson, Brained, has been named to the spring semester dean's list in the College of Engineering and Science at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Lindsay Crider, daughter of Tim and Cindy Bachel, Brainerd, has received a bachelor of science in psychology from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla. While attending college she practiced Shim Shin Do and served as an activator (leader during freshman orientation) her junior year. She plans to pursue a graduate degree at Widener College in Chester, Penn.
