Betty Petersen

NISSWA - Betty Petersen, age 81, resident of Nisswa, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.

Betty was born in Graceville, Minn., on July 12, 1928, to Joseph J. and Rose M. (Liether) Bachel. Betty was a member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Nisswa.

Surviving are sons Ronald (Bev) Petersen of Nisswa and Jeffery (Marcia) Petersen of Pequot Lakes; daughter Katherine (Mike) Lanik of Prescott, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister Rosemary (Les) Davis of Chippewa Falls, Wis.

She is preceded in death by her husband Russell; her parents; brothers Clifford, Francis, Orville and James Bachel; and sisters Lorraine Paulson, Bertha Bachel and Blanche Adair.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Nisswa with Father George Zeck officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorials Gardens in Brainerd.

Memorials are preferred to Grace House.
