NISSWA -- The Nisswa Area Women of Today have created a lakes area cookbook.
"Lakes Area Recipes" features 600 recipes from area residents, Nisswa Area Women of Today members and local chefs. Each book sells for $12 (including tax). Proceeds from the cookbook sales will help the Nisswa Area Women of Today support local charities, causes and events.

Perry to present program on eagles, ospreys in Fifty Lakes
FIFTY LAKES -- Pam Perry will present a program titled "Eagles & Ospreys -- Our Wonderful Birds" at 7 p.m. July 15 at the Fifty Lakes Foundation's meeting at its clubhouse.
A Louisiana style potluck supper will precede the program at 6 p.m.
Perry is a Regional Non Game Specialist for the DNR in Brainerd. She works on statewide DNR surveys to better understand eagles and ospreys.
Perry will discuss the history of area eagles and ospreys, how these birds are surviving in the area and what their future holds. She will answer questions and present a slide a show.
The Fifty Lakes Foundation clubhouse is on County Road 1 and Eagle Lake Road in Fifty Lakes.
Child passenger safety course set in Breezy Point
BREEZY POINT -- A child passenger safety 32-hour technician course will be held Aug. 9 and 10 at Breezy Point City Hall.
Cost is $60.
Day four will include a car seat inspection clinic.
