Mildred R. Bennewitz

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. -- Mildred R. Bennewitz, 90, Arroyo Grande, Calif., formerly of Brainerd, died Monday, July 1, 2002, in Arroyo Grande.

She was born Oct. 13, 1911, in Brainerd, where she lived until 1999 when she moved to Arroyo Grande.

Survivors include a son, Gary Bennewitz, Arroyo Grande; a brother, Lauren Menz, Kirkland, Wash.; two sisters, Margaret Olson, International Falls, and June Henderson, Huntingdon, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Her husband, Harold M. Bennewitz; a daughter, Barbara Blume; and a sister, Violet Spillman, died earlier.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd with Pastor Lilja Behr officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
