IRONTON -- John James Johnson, age 74, of Ironton, Minn., formerly of Brooklyn Center, died July 2, 2004, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Crosby to Tracy and Arlene (Hendrickson) Johnson. He is survived by his wife, JoAnne; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian (Cynthia) Johnson of Pierz; two daughters and son-in-law, Tina (Brad) Wehmhoff of Coon Rapids and Cheryl Brewster of Ironton; Eight brothers, Earl (Betty) Johnson, Trommald, Jack Johnson, Duluth, Alfred (Dee) Johnson, Cokato, Tracy Johnson, Duluth, Donald (Gloria) Johnson, Garrison, Ronald (Kari) Johnson, Circle Pines, Roy Johnson, Anoka, and Ray (Judy) Johnson, Duluth; Four sisters, Alice Burleigh, Duluth, Florence Booth, Duluth, Jane (Jim) Simone, Duluth, and Shirley (Dale) Knudsen, Spring Lake Park; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Koop Funeral Home, Crosby, with Rev. Paul Mattson officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
