LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Clifford Hefti, 80, La Crosse, Wis., died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 7, 1920, in La Crosse, Wis., to Peter and Hazel (Kitelinger) Hefti. He married Peggy Owen on April 11, 1942, in La Crosse, Wis. He worked for the Torrance Foundry for 43 years before his retirement. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the VFW Drum and Bugle Corps. He and his wife were members of the Coulee Region Promenaders Square Dance Club.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Harold, Baxter, Clifford, Onalaska, Wis., and Daniel, Holmen, Wis.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Wilhelm, Onalaska, and Delores Duckworth, La Crosse, Wis.; and two brothers, Henry Hefti, La Crosse, Wis., and Bernard Hefti, Thorne, Colo.
Two sisters, Marie Powers and Hazel Wallace, died earlier.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Iliff officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Friday at the church.
