CASS LAKE -- Three people died in two separate vehicle accidents Wednesday and today in Cass County.
On Wednesday two people died and three others were injured in a two-vehicle collision near Cass Lake.
The accident happened at 1:41 a.m. at Cass County Roads 60 and 149.
One driver, Charles Alan Huesers, 42, of Cass Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene.
From the other vehicle, Wade Louis Baker, 29, of Bemidji, died while being airlifted to a Fargo, N.D. hospital.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department said Huesers was westbound in a pickup on County Road 60 when he collided with a pick-up northbound on County Road 149.
Two passengers in Huesers' pickup, Susan Headbird, 36, Cass Lake, and Michael Headbird, 24, Cass Lake, were treated at a hospital and released.
In the other pick-p with Baker was Gregory Taylor, 41, who was transported to the Cass Lake Public Health Service Hospital.
The driver of the pickup that Baker and Taylor were in is unclear, Cass County officials reported, and is being investigated by the sheriff's department and the State Patrol.
Today a 40-year-old Bemidji man died following a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 371, three miles south of Walker.
Scott James McDonald was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Patrol reported McDonald's Ford pickup left the roadway and rolled over. The accident happened about 2 a.m. today.
McDonald was wearing his seat belt, the State Patrol reported.
