A portrayal of the Inkslinger Sawmill by the Brainerd Area Vocational Technical Institute won the Johnny Inkslinger Best of Show Trophy Friday. Thirty-four of the 150 Johnny Inkslinger Parade entries were presented with trophies.

Robert Tollefson was elected chairman of the Brainerd School Board. He replaces Dr. L.J. Erhart at that position. Other officers are Frances (Babe) Anderson, Wayne Larson and Don Johnson.
