PENNOCK (AP) -- A man struck by a train was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Minneapolis, where he was listed in critical condition.
Roger Duane Murray, 30, was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar and later transported to Hennepin County Medical Center after he was hit by the train Tuesday afternoon, according to a police report. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene around 2 p.m.
Murray's residence was not immediately available.
Pennock is 6 miles northwest of Willmar. Police reports did not indicate how the man was struck, and the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department refused to comment.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad officials acknowledged the incident but were not available for comment Tuesday night.
