PINE RIVER -- The Cass County Fair will run July 20-23 in Pine River at the fairgrounds.
Advance carnival ride tickets are available at Carl's Market, The Corner Store, Holiday, Dairy Queen, Jerry's Super Valu, Gardiner Hardware, Silbaugh's, Godfrey's and Johnson's Oil for the pre-fair price of 10 tickets for $12.
Tickets can also be purchased during the fair for the regular price of 10 for $15 or $2 each.
Premium books are also available at the local bank or the information centers in Pine River or Pequot Lakes.
Midway Magic Carnival Co. is new to the Cass County Fair, which also will feature moto-cross, open horse show, teen dance, paint ball wars, talent show and new commercial exhibitors.
There will be a Treasure Hunt all four days of the fair. Three Medallions will be hidden somewhere on the fairgrounds each day. Clues will be posted at the fair office building.
Finders of the medallions will receive prizes from Pepsi. The Pepsi Cola Co. of Brainerd, Cass County Ag Association and AmericInn of Walker are sponsoring the prizes.
Also there will be a drawing of all winners on the last day of the fair. Winners must be under 18.
The Cass County 4-H Fashion Revue judging will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 19, at the Minnesota Power Building Meeting Room at Pine River.
The Junior and Senior Division 4-H'ers participating in the event will model their garments in either the constructed or purchased garment categories. Joan Urbanski from Hackensack will be the judge.
The ribbon placings will be announced at the Public Fashion Revue at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 23, during the 4-H Awards Program at the Don Smith Arena Building at the Cass County Fairgrounds in Pine River.
