Firefighters kept busy

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to three calls in quick succession Thursday that began at 12:21 a.m.

The first call was a can behind John's Tavern on Oak Street that was on fire and a few blocks down from John's Tavern was a truck and camper were on fire. The third call was on South 11th Street of smoke smoldering out of a vehicle's gas tank.

The fire department also responded to a call at 8:24 p.m. Thursday of a gas smell at McDonald's in northeast Brainerd.

Friday was a less busy day and firefighters responded to just one call - a vehicle rollover accident at 7:13 p.m. on Highway 371. It wasn't know if there were injuries.
