Karen J. Maier
CROSBY - Karen Judith Maier, age 70, of Crosby, died July 2, 2009, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. She was born on Aug. 9, 1938, in Crosby to Robert and Stella (Midthun) Walker.
She was a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Aux No. 443, Ironton; the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Crosby, and the Crosby Fire Department Auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons, Dean (Patti) Maier, of Brainerd, Daniel (Nona) Maier, of Baxter, and Joe (Helen) Maier, of Alexandria; one brother, Donald Walker, of Minocqua, Wis.; and one sister, Beverly (Howard) Watkins, of Thorton, Colo.; eight grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald in 2002; son, Tony in 1981; and grandson, Cole Maier in 2005.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Sunday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 5-7 p.m. and on Monday one hour prior to the services at the church.
