Cities group weighed

WALKER -- The Cass County Board will invite city officials from the 14 municipalities in the county to a 6:30 to 8 p.m. meeting Aug. 22 at Pine River Community Resource Center to consider forming a Cass County Association of Cities.

A county township association has been active within Cass for many years.

Administrator Robert Yochum said he believes the city association is needed to share information among cities and to improve communications with the county.

Education, legislative initiatives and rotating representation to the League of Minnesota Cities will be among topics.
