GARRISON - The 14-year-old Chisago City boy killed Friday after his personal watercraft collided with another personal watercraft on Crooked Lake near Garrison has been identified by the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department as Brian Michael Ammerman.
Ammerman was thrown from his personal watercraft and was unconscious in the water after he collided with another personal watercraft driven by a 13-year-old Lino Lakes boy. The collision was reported at 12:10 p.m. Friday.
A nearby lake resident responded to the accident and was able to get the boys to shore on a pontoon boat, but efforts to revive the 14-year-old were unsuccessful. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation.
