WALKER -- Arvid Eugene Kloek, 54, Minnetonka, appeared recently for an omnibus hearing in Hubbard County Court on Cass County murder charges.
Kloek is accused of stabbing his wife, Minnetta Louise, 52, to death in southern Cass County before he turned himself in to authorities in Brainerd July 3, 2000.
The complaint against him alleges the couple argued while returning from a vacation. Kloek is accused of stabbing her repeatedly west of Pine River on Highway 64 in McKinley Township near where the victim's body was recovered from a ditch.
An autopsy revealed Minnetta died of loss of blood.
Kloek has been held in Cass County Jail, since his arraignment July 5, 2000, in lieu of $2 million bond, between psychological evaluations at Brainerd Regional Human Services Center and the state facility at St. Peter.
A grand jury indicted Kloek July 24, 2000, on first- and second-degree murder charges.
