Dallas Fraser, the son of Roberta Fraser of Brainerd and John Fraser of Escondido, Calif., was named to the president's list at Mira Costa College in southern California. Fraser is majoring in computer science. Fraser is a 1995 Brainerd High School graduate and a 1996 Central Lakes College student.
The following area students graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth: Jill Caughey, the daughter of Alice and Bill Caughey of Brainerd, earned a degree in management; Alison Helmer, the daughter of Carol and Frederick Helmer of Brainerd, exercise physiology; Melissa Lofgren, the daughter of Kathy and Ray Lofgren of Brainerd, business management; Michael Gogolin, the son of Patricia and James Gogolin of Baxter, exercise physiology; Marit Tretter, the daughter of Connie and James Tretter of Baxter, social work and psychology; Jacquelyn Johnson, the daughter of Richard and Janet Ruzich of Baxter, nursing; Allison Booker, the daughter of Clint and Alice Booker of Motley, art; Monica Christensen, the daughter of Joyce Rasmussen of Deerwood and Kevin Christensen of Annandale, elementary education; and Bradley Vieths, the son of Connie and David Vieths of Pillager, elementary education.

Alison Agre, Nisswa, received the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Scholarship and the Claire Gsell Memorial Endowment, the two most prestigious business scholarships at Drake University. The $1,000 CPCU scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior insurance major who expresses an interest in entering the property and casualty industry after the student graduates. The other scholarship is awarded to one who displays academic excellence and exhibited an interest in insurance marketing.

Teresa Wehseler, Ironton, was named to the dean's list at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Sherry Deyhle, 14, the daughter of Joni Deyhle and Edward Fox of Brainerd, was selected as a state finalist in the Miss Minnesota American Co-ed Pageant July 27-29 at the City Center Marriot Hotel in Minneapolis. The pageant is for girls age 3-18 who compete within their own age division. The winner of each division will receive a cash award, a full modeling scholarship, the official crown and banner, will travel to Florida for a day at Disney World and will compete in a five-day event with other state and national winners.
Deyhle is a member of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe and a student at Nay-Ah-Shing School. She is an honor student, a member of student council and has represented the school as a Royalty Princess. She also has participated in The First American in Flight Program and the Civil Air Patrol.
