WARROAD (AP) -- City officials and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will build a dike along the city's shoreline this week in response to the rising level of Lake of the Woods, which threatens to flood this town on the Canadian border.
The lake normally levels off at 1,060.5 feet in the summer, but has already risen to about 1,062 feet. It's expected to rise another foot in the next three weeks.
