Sartell handles Bees

SARTELL - The Sartell Muskies required only 88 minutes to beat the Brainerd Bees 5-0 in Lakewood League amateur baseball Sunday afternoon.

Tim Martin was 2-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt and Tate Rusk doubled for Brainerd.

Martin pitched a complete game and took the loss. In eight innings he allowed seven hits and three earned runs, struck out one and walked one.

Dave Schlangen pitched a seven-hit shutout for Sartell. He struck out one and walked one.

Sartell's Tim Burns was 3-for-4 with a triple and double.

The Bees were scheduled to make up a game against the St. Cloud Snappers Sunday night at Adamson Field in Brainerd.
