Flight bank gains pledges toward goal of $4 million
The Heartland Gateways Flight Bank -- the two-year initiative to expand air service in central Minnesota -- is an opportunity for individuals or businesses to help improve air service in the region. Through July 11, participants can pledge part or all of their annual air travel budget to the year-long Flight Bank. Flights that include the Brainerd or St. Cloud airports then qualify for a 12.5 percent rebate, which comes in the form of a check. For those who don't use their entire pledge during the Flight Bank program, they'll receive travel vouchers equal to the unused portion.
