Those attending the annual meeting of Cuyuna Country Heritage Preservation Society on July 8 will qualify for a variety of door prizes.
They will include a floral arrangement donated by C-I Floral, and copies of the society's new book, "Cuyuna Country: A People's History," which sells for $29.95 plus Minnesota sales tax. Also up for winning will be Berger Aulie's "The Milford Mine Disaster," and a collection of Cuyuna Country events from early area newspapers in another Heritage book, "It Happened Here." New brochures and refrigerator magnets will also be available at the meeting.
The annual meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Bungalow Supper Club & Sportsmen's Bar on Bungalow Lane in Emily.
The meeting, being coordinated by Heritage Governing Board member Evelyn Sheets, is open to anyone interested in the history of Cuyuna Range.
Reservations at $6 for the program and hot and cold hors d'oeuvres are available by sending a check to Evelyn at CCHPS at P.O. Box 68, Ironton, MN 56455. If the check will not arrive before the deadline of this Saturday, reserve a place by calling 546-5063, 546-5233 or 546-5996.
Musical entertainment will be presented by Mrs. Ellis (Donna) Hite and Barry Hite of Emily.
