Duck, duck, dead duck?

Posted: Saturday, June 27, 2009

Regarding the recent meeting between Brainerd Amateur Hockey Association and the city of Brainerd, in a nutshell, BAHA's ducks were all lying dead in the water and the other individual had their corn-fed ducks all lined up in a row.

Special Olympics

I'm calling about the person who wrote about the law enforcement men volunteering for Special Olympics. I'm hot and bothered about that. The unsafe manner? I'm sure the police and the fire trucks wouldn't do anything that was unsafe to advertise Special Olympics. Get a life, person. I'm sorry but my son is a Special Olympics athlete and Special Olympics is wonderful and I think the person complaining has nothing better to do.

Close the intersection

I'd like to comment on the intersection of Elder Drive and Highway 210. I think the best solution is to close the intersection completely and lower the speed limit. That'd eliminate any accidents in the area.

Pets, children and heat

Why do people need to take their children and their animals to the store and leave them in a vehicle in this heat? Do you have to have the cops come and tell you that this is illegal? Leave them at home. Don't put them through this heat. More kids are gonna get killed and more pets are gonna die. Let's get real, people. If you love your animals and children, leave them with a baby-sitter or at home.
