The Brainerd Public Utilities Commission has approved connection of the water mains in Brainerd and Baxter, with a shared cost of about $10,000 to $12,000. The connection will be used in emergencies where either city is without water.

The Brainerd Warriors nosed out Crosby-Ironton for the second time this season, this time with a come-from-behind 8-6 win. Winning pitcher was Billy Selisker, who worked four and one-third innings, striking out two and allowing three hits.

Two well-dressed bandits held up the Home Oil Station at Ninth and Tamarack at 9:20 p.m. yesterday. They stuck a gun in the ribs of the attendant, threatened to kill him and took $40. It is believed they were the same two who cased the station on Tuesday.

The Brewsters were defeated in both of their out of town games. They lost to Staples 4 to 2, despite White pitching a fine game and striking out 12. Alderman pitched a fine game against Verndale, but the team lost 3 to 2 in 14 innings.
