NCS hosts special

North Central Speedway will host the Wissota Late Model Tri-Star Challenge Series and a Wissota Modified Special Tuesday. The Late Model winner will take home $2,000 and the Modified winner will pocket $1,500.
Pit gate opens at 4 p.m., spectator gate opens at 5 p.m. and hot laps start at 6:45 p.m.
The Tri-Star Challenge Series has held two specials so far this season, the latest Monday at Superior Speedway. John Kaanta, a former series champion, won the season opener at Viking Speedway in Alexandria.
Local drivers who compete in this series include Tommy Thompson, Rick Sweet, Terrel Thompson and Dan Yaunick.
