Boy attacked by animals upgraded to serious condition

A 10-year-old rural Royalton boy, who was attacked by a tiger and a lion Wednesday night, was listed in serious condition at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis Sunday. He was listed in critical condition Saturday.

The boy, Russell Lala, was injured after he and his father, Nicholas Lala, visited their friend, Chuck Mock, the owner of Best Buy Auto in Little Falls, who owns 11 large cats and one bear that are kept in cages on his property.

Man attacked by pit bulls remains in serious condition

A 60-year-old Irondale Township man, who was attacked by two pit bull terriers Thursday, remained in serious condition at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis Sunday.

David George Dezeil was attacked by the pit bull terriers while he was walking near his home. A passerby in a vehicle, Teresa Catlin, called 911 and used a flashlight to try to get the dogs off Dezeil until emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
