IRONTON - Brett Arneson went 4-for-5, drove in two runs and scored three all while tossing a seven-inning complete game to pick up the win as the Ironton Legion team defeated Aitkin 17-6 in the first game of a doubleheader Thursday.
Pete Vukelich and Kyler DeCent each finished 3-4 with three runs.
Andrew Ince was 2-2 with two runs for Aitkin.
In the second game, DeCent pitched a five-inning complete game shutout, finishing with five strikeouts while allowing two hits as Ironton won in a tight 1-0 pitcher's duel.
An Arneson single in the first inning drove in Colin Leonard who reached on the Ranger's only other hit.
Dustin Goble and Kyle Hoffman picked up Aitkin's two hits while Collin Burke lost the duel on the mound.
