MALMO - The Malmo Free Church will present The Hawkinson Friends in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The group consists of Duane and Deb Hawkinson from Aitkin, Vern and Cindy Hawkinson from Bovey and John Yurrick from Grand Rapids.

Lakes Area Parish Nurse meeting

The Lakes Area Parish Nurse meeting will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Society-Woodland, 200 Buffalo Hills Lane, Brainerd. New Song Ministries/Crossroads Music Cafe

The New Song Ministries/Crossroads Music Cafe will sponsor S.T.A.R.T. Band on at 6 p.m. Friday, the Rockfish Band at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and the Pointway Church Band at 7 p.m. July 2 at Crossroads Music Cafe, 217 South Seventh St., Brainerd. For more information, call 829-0834.

In HIS Name

There will not be an In HIS Name concert in July. The next concert will be 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at Temple Baptist Church.

New worship at St. Paul's Episcopal Church

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 408 N. Seventh St. Brainerd, will offering a new service, Morning Prayer, at 7 a.m. Tuesday mornings. The service will last about 20 minutes and fresh coffee is available afterwards. Morning Prayer begins on Tuesday.

First Lutheran Church events

First Lutheran Church, Brainerd, will have a meditation/healing service at 6 p.m. Thursday in the sanctuary.

Vacation Bible school will be from 9 a.m. to noon July 5-10 at First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd. The theme is "Crocodile Dock, Where Fearless Kids Shine God's Light." All children three years old to sixth grade are invited to attend. Call the church office to register at 829-9552.

Gospel night at Heritage

BAXTER - Heritage Assembly of God Church, 13242 Berrywood Dr., Baxter, will host Gospel Night at 7 p.m. July 3. The Harbingers Quartet and The Great Adventure Gospel Band will be featured. Gospel Night is sponsored by River of Life Productions.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

Patriotic service in Pillager

PILLAGER - Pillager Baptist Church will have an outdoor patriotic service at 10:30 a.m. July 5. The service will be followed by a cookout and picnic. Bring a dish to share and a lawn chair.

Tanzania Mission garage sale

Trinity Lutheran Tanzania Mission trippers of Brainerd will be having a no-mark garage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at 9622 South Lively which is the second right off McKay Road. The sale is to help raise funds toward the July 2010 mission trip to build a classroom in Tanzania. The mission team has 40 members.
