CLC to provide medical assistant training in 2009

STAPLES - Central Lakes College will offer a 42-credit, Medical Assistant diploma program with plans for the first cohort of students in the fall term of 2009.
The program will be offered on the Staples campus, where there is space available to construct a new Medical Assistant simulation lab. The curriculum will be a combination of on-line, classroom and laboratory courses as well as a clinical externship experience.
CLC will have room for 15-30 students the first year, which could grow to 45 in the third year.
Bake sale, silent auction set
FIFTY LAKES - The Fifty Lakes Foundation is sponsoring a bake sale and silent auction from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the clubhouse on County Road 1 and County Road 3.
