LF hands Brainerd first loss

Chris Sausen went 3-for-4 to lead the Brainerd sophomore VFW baseball team in its first loss of the season, 9-8, to Little Falls Tuesday at Adamson Field.

Mitch Bzdok was 2-2 with two walks and two runs and Bruce London was 2-4.

Starter Blaine Bubalo went four innings, allowing three hits and three earned runs, struck out four and walked six.

Jack Hegarty took the loss. In two innings he allowed three hits and three earned runs and struck out two.

The second game was rained out before it was completed.
