We are wondering why the city of Brainerd funds the cleanup for the north and northeast parts of town with tax dollars? The rest of Brainerd is excluded from this cleanup. We would like our part of town included also. This cleanup money comes from city funds and we think the entire city would benefit from a city-wide cleanup.
The neighborhood associations requested the funds from the city, which uses SCORE grant funds aimed to further waste reduction, reuse and recycling.
What gives people the right to allow their dogs to bark all hours of the day and night? We've even had the neighbor's dog barking on our back step at midnight. Dogs can only be as smart as their masters so maybe someone should offer an owner's obedience class. Don't call the police. They don't deal with nuisance pets anymore. Animal control - they don't show up. Does anybody out there have any other suggestions?
Charge the city?
I've been reading how the city's going to start fining people for the tall grass in their yards. Who's in charge of the highways on Highway 371 south? The grass is so tall there you can't even see the traffic going in either direction. It's as tall as my car. Let's start charging the city for the grass and weeds.
