Gull Area Lakes Association, in conjunction with the Crow Wing and Cass County water patrols, is sponsoring a boat and water safety class for all teens ages 12-17 at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
This free class, the last one offered this season, will allow participants to receive their permits the same day. The class not only covers all the rules and regulations, but everyone will receive behind-the-wheel training as well.
According to Minnesota state law, all teens ages 14-17 are required to have a permit to operate a personal watercraft and all teens ages 12-15 must have a permit to operate a boat with a motor over 25 horsepower.
Lunch is provided by Gull Area Lakes Association. All who are interested should call John at 963-2229 for details and to preregister. Class sizes are limited.
