Hackensack, Walker American Legions retire flags

American Legion Post 202 of Hackensack and American Legion Post 134 of Walker held a flag retirement ceremony Saturday in the city park in downtown Hackensack.
During the event, 220 U.S. flags, 11 POW flags and seven miscellaneous flags were retired in a public display in which the public was invited to participate.
Many people witnessed the ceremony and many took part in the ritual.
