Boeder in fair condition, Nelson is still critical

ROBBINSDALE - Tim Boeder, the North Central Speedway promoter seriously injured Wednesday when he was struck by a race car at the track, has been upgraded to fair condition at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, a hospital spokesman said Monday.

Boeder, 43, Brainerd, and Turn No. 1 flag man Keith Nelson, 48, Brainerd, were struck and seriously injured by a race car Wednesday after it vaulted over the wall and fence at the pit exit area at North Central Speedway.

Nelson remained in critical condition Monday at North Memorial Medical Center. The driver of the race car, James Eblen, 40, St. Cloud, has been released from the hospital.
