Alice Isle

Alice Isle, age 90, resident of Brainerd, died Thursday, June 17, 2004. She was born April 14, 1914, in Genola, Minn., to Flaudy and Kathryn (Kachmarzinski) Litke. Alice grew up in the Harding/Pierz area.

Survivors include a daughter, Arleen (Norman) Myears of Brainerd; a granddaughter, Adriene Myears of Brainerd; three great-granddaughters Alisha Johnson, Amanda Johnson and Kati Myears; two great-grandsons Billy Myears and Nathan Johnson; six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo VanDenheuvel and Ralph Isle; son, Billy VanDenheuvel; seven brothers and sisters, Claire Otten, Rose Solinger, Alfred Litke, Leo Litke, John Litke, Helen Moser and Bill Litke.

Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, June 21, 2004, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Bill Skarich officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd.
