CROSSLAKE -- Steven Allen Schrader, 48, Crosslake, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at his home.
He was born June 20, 1952, in New Ulm to William Ervin and Lucille (Menk) Schrader. He moved with his family to Butterfield where he attended school. He graduated from Butterfield-Odin High School and attended Southwestern State University in Marshall. He traveled and did carpentry work, living in Arizona and Arkansas, where he worked on the pipeline. He moved to Mound and became self-employed as a building contractor. He moved to Crosslake in 1979 and built homes.
Survivors include his fiance, Anne Stuart, Crosslake; a sister, Linda Bastian, Brainerd; and four brothers, William Schrader, Ramsey, Douglas Schrader, Marshall, Thomas Schrader, Olympia, Wash., and Ronald Schrader, Crosslake.
His parents and a brother, James Schrader, died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Ridge View Cemetery of Emily.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday and an hour before services Saturday at Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
