David R. Holm

RICE - David Raymond Holm, 57, of Rice and Palisade, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Aicota Health Care Center, Aitkin. He was born Aug. 1, 1949, in Aitkin, to George and Evelyn (Sarff) Holm. He graduated from Aitkin High School, class of 1967. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was employed at Trimpac in Sartell.

He enjoyed trains, traveling, hunting, fishing, camping and canoeing.

He was a member of Aitkin American Legion Lee Post No. 86, Great Northern Railway Historical Society, Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, life member of North American Hunting Club.

He is survived by his parents, George and Evelyn (Sarff) Holm, of Palisade; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Merrill (Carol) and Vern (Trudy), all of Aitkin; nieces and nephews, Eric Holm, Jamie Holm, Christopher Holm and Jeremy Holm, besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, at Bethel Lutheran Church, Palisade. The Rev. William Sass will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin, and will continue one hour prior to the service in the church.
