DEERWOOD - The Ripple River Gallery near Deerwood will host "Forms of Nature," an exhibit of baskets by Tina Fung Holder and etchings and relief prints by Jauneth Skinner, through July 15.
The public is invited to meet Holder, who lives in Washburn, Wis., from 3-5 p.m. June 30 at the gallery. A closing reception with Skinner, Bemidji, will be on July 15.
Holder has been making baskets since she was a child. She attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in design crafts and a Master of Fine Arts in fibers.
"Splash" and "Twisting Turn" are iris leaf and sweet grass baskets by Wisconsin artist Tina Fung Holder.
Through drawings, etchings and relief prints, Skinner captures impressions of the world. Formerly the head of the art department at Bemidji State University, she travels widely, capturing her impressions on journal pages.
