Buckman edges Flensburg in ninth

BUCKMAN -- Buckman's Todd Robinson drew a walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game at eight then Pete Oldakowski followed with a single to give the Billygoats a dramatic 9-8 win over the Flensburg Falcons in Victory League baseball Sunday.

Wade Bauer had three hits and Dave Woitalla hit a solo home run for the Billygoats.

Russ Fellbaum and Pat Krebs each added three hits apiece while Paul Krebs and Noah Czech added two hits apiece for Flensburg.

PIERZ -- The Pierz Bulldogs scored all eight of their runs in the sixth inning as Paul Herman, Zach Watercott and Pete Herman each had three hits apiece in a close win over the Lastrup Lakers Sunday.

Rick Schlieman was 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI while Reggie Litke, Dan Saehr and Pat Hoheisel all had two hits apiece for Lastrup.
