Agnes Mae (LeDoux) Alholm, age 85, resident of Brainerd, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Good Samaritan Village-Woodland in Brainerd. Agnes was born on June 19, 1923, in Belle Prairie, Minn., to Edward and Grace (Sutton) LeDoux. She married Russell Alholm on Feb. 4, 1942, in Brainerd. Agnes was a lifetime member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She will be remembered most for being a wonderful mother.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon Swift and Cheryl (Randy) Berg, both of Brainerd; three sons, Ronald (Sharon) Alholm, of Hoyt Lakes, Michael (Cheri) Alholm and Terrance (Cherrie) Alholm, both of Brainerd; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vera Wood, of St. Paul, Esther Haubrick and Hazel Peterson, both of Washington; two brothers, Lester LeDoux, of Washington, Vernon LeDoux, of Brainerd; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell; her parents; eight brothers; two sisters; her daughter, Sheila Jean Alholm; and a grandchild, Camie Berg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2009, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Tony Wroblewski officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Visitation will held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue the hour before services at the church on Monday.
