Dairy good summer
Thank you to everyone who helped make the June Dairy Celebration a success at Culver's in Baxter. Thanks to the sponsors: the Crow Wing County Dairy Farmers, Culver's in Baxter, the Brainerd FFA and the Crow Wing Farm Bureau. Thanks to Dan Caughey, Becky Joerger, and Inga Wicklund for getting the cow and calf ready, and Jennifer Koering for bringing her goat.
Thank you to the dairy ambassadors and FFA members who assisted.
A very special thank you to all our cow milkers: Marissa Mills, Mayors James Wallin, Darrel Olson, and Brian Lehman, Baxter Police Chief Jim Exsted, County Commissioners Rachel Reabe-Nystrom and Paul Thiede, County Attorney Don Ryan, Baxter City Administrator Gordon Heitke, Anne Cook from Lakeland Public News, and radio personalities Andy Hammre, Tess Taylor, and Mike Boen. Thank you to the participants in the ice cream eating contest, the Culver's employees for helping out, and the Brainerd Dispatch for the coverage.

Kinship Partners
We would like to thank Prairie Bay Grill and Catering for hosting the "Second Thursday" Wine and Hors d'oeuvres Tasting Event fundraiser on June 11 to benefit Kinship Partners. The staff at Prairie Bay provided delicious appetizers and graciously donated their time for this event. We also want to thank CashWise Liquor for providing and serving the wine. Through the generosity of Prairie Bay, CashWise and the many people who attended "Second Thursday," the Brainerd area has once again demonstrated its caring and concern for the children in our youth mentoring program! You have our heartfelt thanks!
