WARREN, Mich. - Marvin O. Gravdahl, age 81, of Warren, Mich., formerly of Pequot Lakes, died Wednesday, June 3, 2007, at Warren, Mich. Services will be Friday, June 22, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes with the Rev. David Stevens officiating. There will be a visitation Thursday evening from 6-7 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes and also one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Interment to follow services at Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery.
Marvin is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Andrew Gravdahl; one sister, Selma (Sally) Stricker.
Marvin was born on Nov. 24, 1925, in Pequot Lakes, son of the late Albert and Stefine (Ulteng) Gravdahl. He graduated from Pequot Lakes High School. He enlisted in the US Marine Corp during WW II. Following his honorable discharge he farmed a short while with his family near Pequot Lakes. He then moved to Warren, Mich., and worked for the auto industry retiring from Chrysler. He enjoyed horse racing, dog racing, baseball and football.
Memorials are preferred to the Our Savior's Lutheran Church Remodeling Fund.
