Brainerd sweeps Sartell

The Brainerd VFW team defeated Sartell 11-7 and 5-4 Thursday.
In Game One, Kevin Peterson went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, double and six RBIs. Blaine Bubalo pitched the win and went 2-3 with two doubles. Jack Hegarty had a save and went 2-4 with three runs and Dan Rhoda finished 2-3 as Brainerd belted out 13 hits.
Bubalo went six innings and allowed three hits and three earned runs. He struck out two and walked four.
Mike Smith earned the win in the second game. He struck out two, walked four and allowed three hits and three earned runs. Hegarty again collected a save.
Rhoda finished 1-3 with an RBI. Smith was 1-3 and Peterson walked three times and scored twice.
Brainerd improves to 6-0 and travel to Little Falls 11 a.m. Tuesday.
